In Gulyaypol, the memorial museum and estate of the family of Nestor Makhno burned down as a result of nighttime enemy shelling. Russian troops also shelled other settlements in Zaporizhzhia region, damaging civilian objects.

In Zaporizhzhia region, Russian troops destroyed the memorial museum-estate of the family of Nestor Makhno, the National Police reported on Saturday, UNN reports.

A historical monument, the memorial museum and estate of the Nestor Makhno family, was destroyed during a nighttime shelling in Gulyaypol. The building caught fire as a result of a shell hit and burned to the ground. Civilian homes and outbuildings were also damaged, and personal property was destroyed

On August 23, Russians, according to police, shelled frontline settlements in the Pologivsky and Vasylivsky districts with aircraft, multiple launch rocket systems, tanks, artillery, and used unmanned aerial vehicles. As a result of a drone attack in the village of Bilenke, an infrastructure facility and several houses were damaged. No civilians were injured during the shelling.

Criminal proceedings were opened under Part 1 of Article 438 (Violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
