Russian drone strike on a high-rise building in Konotop claims a life

Occupiers attacked a high-rise building in Konotop with a drone. The body of a 78-year-old woman was found under the rubble, and four other people were injured.

In Konotop, Sumy region, Russian troops hit a high-rise building; one person is known to have died, and a child is among the injured, Sumy Regional Military Administration head Oleh Hryhorov and the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office reported on Monday, UNN writes.
Unfortunately, a civilian woman died as a result of the morning attack on Konotop. Rescuers found the body of a 78-year-old resident under the rubble. Three people were also injured, including a child. All are receiving the necessary medical assistance,
This was also confirmed by the Mayor of Konotop, Artem Semenikhin.
According to the prosecutor's office, the occupiers attacked a high-rise building in Konotop with a drone on June 8 at approximately 05:10.
"Rescuers pulled the body of a deceased 78-year-old woman from under the rubble. Two women, aged 75 and 41, and a 44-year-old man were also hospitalized. An 8-year-old boy was diagnosed with an acute stress reaction," the prosecutor's office noted.
A pretrial investigation has been launched into the commission of war crimes that caused the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As Hryhorov reported, over the past day, almost 60 shellings were recorded in the region across 35 settlements in 20 communities; an elderly woman died, and 15 more people were injured.
