According to the investigation, on the morning of March 22, 2024, the Russian military "preliminarily launched 20 missile strikes on the territory of Zaporizhzhia".
"The city's infrastructure facilities, including the Dnipro hydroelectric power plant, private and apartment buildings, and civilian vehicles were damaged and destroyed. So far, one person has been reported dead as a result of the shelling of the Dnipro HPP," the Prosecutor General's Office said on Telegram.
Emergency services and law enforcement officers are working at the scene to record another crime of the Russian Federation. The number of victims is being established.
An investigation was launched into the massive shelling of Zaporizhzhia and the Dnipro hydroelectric power plant on the grounds of violation of the laws and customs of war combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
