Russia will be able to produce 30% more artillery shells than all EU countries combined - Sibiga
Kyiv • UNN
Sibiga warned of an increase in the production of artillery shells in Russia compared to the EU in 2025. He called for tougher sanctions against Russia's shadow fleet, which helps to circumvent restrictions.
In 2025, Russia will be able to produce 30% more artillery shells than all European Union countries combined, unless there are appropriate responses or preventions. This was announced by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga during a joint press conference with EU High Representative Josep Borrell, UNN reports.
"Next year, if there is no appropriate response or prevention, Russia will be able to produce 30% more artillery shells than all the countries of the European Union combined. Therefore, we need to think strategically about this now, to prevent it strategically," Sibiga said.
First of all, he noted that he was referring to the so-called shadow fleet of the Russian Federation, which is now helping to continue trading in energy and oil, bypassing Russian sanctions.
"Therefore, it is very important that further strengthening of the sanctions policy of the European Union and our allies focuses on this aspect as well," Sibiga said.
