US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said he is optimistic about the possibility of resuming nuclear negotiations with Iran, despite the fact that the shaky ceasefire in the war looks increasingly doubtful, UNN reports with reference to the Guardian.
"They have agreed to discuss aspects of their nuclear program that only a month ago, only a year ago, they even refused to mention," Rubio told the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He did not go into details.
However, he added that this "does not guarantee that it will ultimately lead to an acceptable agreement," and that these negotiations are complicated by the instability of Iran's leadership.
