Details

The court found a resident of Kharkiv region guilty of unauthorized dissemination of information about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Part 2 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and sentenced him to 5 years in prison.

In court, prosecutors proved that in May 2024, an unemployed resident of Dergachi began communicating with a "journalist" through a dating chat room who allegedly told the "whole truth" about the full-scale invasion of Kharkiv region.

However, the enemy agent began "romantic communication" with the man and asked him to "help" a little, namely to pass on the locations of Ukrainian military and equipment in Dergachi. The convict, immersed in Internet love, walked around the city and covertly photographed the locations of the Defense Forces

- the prosecutor's office said.

Law enforcement officers exposed the man in June 2024. He was awaiting sentencing while in custody.
