Rescuers in Kyiv region extinguished a forest floor fire in the Chornobyl exclusion zone. This was reported by UNN with reference to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Details
During the firefighting, specialists of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine continuously measured the radiation background.
According to the results of continuous monitoring, its indicators throughout the entire period of work remained within the natural background and did not exceed the established permissible norms

The fire in the Chornobyl zone, which was extinguished for two weeks, was eliminated on July 10. Large-scale spread of fire was prevented, and the radiation background remains within normal limits.
