The rector of a UOC (MP) church in Vinnytsia region was served a notice of suspicion for praising terrorists and justifying Russian aggression. The SBU found evidence of the suspect's subversive activities.

The Security Service has exposed the criminal actions of the rector of a church in the Vinnytsia diocese of the UOC (MP), who denied Russia's armed aggression  and justified the temporary occupation of part of Ukraine. UNN reports this with reference to the press service of the SBU.

The SBU served a notice of suspicion to the rector of the UOC (MP) church in Vinnytsia region, who praised the terrorists Zakharchenko, Givi and Motorola

, the report says.

Details

On his own Telegram channel, he repeated the Kremlin's narratives about the "civil war" in our country and praised the ex-leaders of the "dnr" terrorist organization olexandr zakharchenko, "givi" and "motorola".

The cleric also distributed comments in which he tried to discredit the Ukrainian military and insulted the religious feelings of representatives of different faiths. For this purpose, he used publications of propaganda Internet resources , including the official website of the Russian Orthodox Church.

In addition, the archpriest spread anti-Ukrainian propaganda during his sermons and communication with parishioners of the church.

Addendum

During searches at the cleric's residence, cell phones and computers with evidence of subversive activities in favor of Russia were found.

Based on the evidence collected, SBU investigators notified the cleric of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

  • part 2 of article 436-2 (justification, recognition of the legitimacy, denial of armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants);
  • part 2 of article 109 (actions aimed at violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power).

The defendant was hiding from justice in several regions of Ukraine, but the SBU established his location and detained him. The investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the crimes.
