Details
A U.S. Court rejected his request for заставу 50 million bail from a Brooklyn prison where the music mogul has been held for 10 weeks. U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian announced the decision after hearing arguments during a two-hour hearing in Manhattan federal court.
Previously, Diddy was denied bail three times since his arrest, as many judges cited the risk that he might put pressure on witnesses.
Diddy's lawyers argued that he should be isolated from apartments on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, where he would be monitored around the clock by private security personnel, whose services he would pay for, and where he would be banned from contacting alleged victims or witnesses.
However, prosecutors said that Diddy is unlikely to comply with these rules. After all, while behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center, Combs used the identification numbers of other prisoners to make phone calls, violating the prison's communications tracking policy.
Prosecutors also said that surveillance video of Combs assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassandra Ventura, known as Cassie, shows that there is a risk that he will use violence if released.
"This video is proof that the defendant is a violent rapist and poses a danger to society",
