Today, April 28, the first matches of the Champions League semi-finals kick off, where French side Paris Saint-Germain, featuring Illia Zabarnyi, will host Bayern Munich. The match will begin at 22:00 Kyiv time. UNN reports on what is known ahead of the match, where to watch, and who the bookmakers' favorite is. 

The Match

The first leg of the semi-final will take place at Paris Saint-Germain's home stadium, the Parc des Princes. The starting whistle from head referee Sandro Schärer of Switzerland will sound at 22:00 Kyiv time.

PSG 

French side PSG began their journey to the Champions League semi-finals from the round of 32, having finished 11th in the group stage. In the round of 32, PSG defeated their compatriots Monaco (3:2 and 2:2); in the round of 16, they left no chance for London's Chelsea (5:2 and 3:0); and in the quarter-finals, they overcame another English team, Liverpool (2:0 twice).

Over the weekend, the Parisians secured a crushing victory in the league against Angers with goals from Lee Kang-in, Senny Mayulu, and Lucas Beraldo. 

After 30 rounds in Ligue 1, PSG, with a game in hand, sits in first place in the championship, leading their closest pursuer, Lens, by six points. 

Bayern Munich 

Bayern, who finished second in their Champions League group, skipped the round of 32 matches, advancing directly to the round of 16, where they crushed Italy's Atalanta (6:1 and 4:1). In the quarter-finals, they overcame Andriy Lunin's Real Madrid (2:1 and 4:3).

Furthermore, last weekend, Bayern pulled off a crazy comeback in a league match against Mainz: trailing 3:0 during the game, the Munich side secured a 4:3 victory. 

Before the Match 

PSG and Bayern have already faced each other 15 times. The last time the teams played each other was in the 4th round of the current Champions League campaign. On that occasion, the Bavarians celebrated a 2:1 victory.

Interestingly, a draw has never been recorded between the teams. Bayern has 9 wins compared to PSG's six.

In this match, the Parisians will be without key midfielder Vitinha, while the Bavarians will miss winger Serge Gnabry, defender Raphaël Guerreiro, and midfielder Lennart Karl.
