Polish ambassador to Germany Dariusz Pavlos has expressed hope that Germany will deliver Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine. He also hopes that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will be brave enough to seek a solution to deliver the relevant systems and ammunition. This UNN reported with reference to NTV.
Pavlos expects a signal of unity against russia from the summit of the so-called Weimar Triangle on Friday.
Pavlos said in ARD's Morgenmagazin magazine that the purpose of the meeting between Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Berlin was to "demonstrate unity, not disagreement.
"This is "a signal that we want to demonstrate that we are united and we want to stand in solidarity for Ukraine," Pavlos said.
In the interview, the diplomat expresses hope that Germany will supply Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine.
"We know one hundred percent: Ukraine also needs Taurus cruise missiles," Pavlos noted.
He hopes that Chancellor Scholz "will have the courage to seek a solution to deliver the appropriate systems and munitions.
"This is a 'decisive phase of this war' and a time when 'we all need to have the courage to do something more,'" Pavlos emphasizes.
First of all, Ukraine now needs ammunition. At the same time, Pavlos recognizes that Germany is doing everything it can. Nevertheless, "more can always be done".
