NPC Ukrenergo reported an increase in power outages in Kyiv and 11 regions. The reason was a breakdown of equipment at two energy facilities.

Power outages have increased in Kyiv and 11 regions as equipment at two energy facilities has broken down, Ukrenergo reported on Thursday, UNN reports.

Details

Today, on July 18, regional power distribution companies are limiting consumption throughout the day.

Due to equipment failure at two power facilities, four rolling blackouts were introduced from 08:00 to 22:00 in Kyiv, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Dnipro, and Kirovohrad regions. In other regions, the restrictions are in effect according to the announced schedule: from 16:00 to 22:00 - four queues, at other times - three queues

Emergency assistance

At night, from 02:00 to 05:00, Ukrenergo used emergency supplies from the Polish power system to reduce the deficit.

Import

Due to the abnormal heat and increased consumption in Europe , imports will remain at a reduced level. It is planned to import a total of 23,561 MWh from Romania, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary, with a maximum capacity of 1,232 MW.

Export

It is not happening and is not expected to happen.

Grids of Ukrenergo and oblenergos

Due to a thunderstorm and high winds, 374 settlements in Kyiv, Volyn, Zakarpattia, Zhytomyr, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions are without power supply in full or in part this morning.

For other reasons, 503 settlements remain without power in the morning.

Due to hostilities: there are power outages in Donetsk, Kharkiv and Kherson regions.

For technical reasons: consumers in Dnipropetrovska, Kirovohradska, Odeska oblasts lost power.
