In children's camps in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, children are being forced to accept the Russian version of history. The occupation authorities distort Kyiv's role in the formation of Kyivan Rus to justify the invasion.
The occupation administration uses children's summer camps in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine as a platform for spreading Russian historical propaganda. This was reported by the Center for National Resistance of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (CNR), informs UNN.

It is noted that during thematic classes dedicated to the Baptism of Rus, children are forced to accept the Russian version of history, claiming that modern Russia is the direct heir of Kyivan Rus.
It is in children's camps, where schoolchildren spend their summer holidays, that the occupation authorities hold lectures, thematic meetings and "historical" talks aimed at forming a distorted perception of the past in children. Ukrainian history is systematically replaced by Russian propaganda narratives, and the role of Kyiv and Ukraine in the formation of Kyivan Rus is deliberately distorted
It is indicated that the dissemination of such theses is part of an information campaign designed to justify the Russian invasion and occupation of Ukrainian territories.
"Using myths about the alleged 'historical unity' and 'common origin,' the occupation administration tries to convince children that Russia has a historical right to Ukrainian lands," the CNR summarizes.
