The Ministry of Defense currently has no information about an increase in the number of checkpoints for checking the documents of persons liable for military service.

Currently, the Defense Ministry has no information that the number  of checkpoints on the streets to check the documents of persons liable for military service will be increased. This was stated by Defense Ministry spokesman Dmytro Lazutkin during a telethon, UNN reports.

As for the increase in the number of checkpoints, there is no such information available at this time. I will say one thing: the unfortunate and sometimes unpleasant story with checkpoints and detentions arose because people did not update their military registration data in time

- Lazutkin says.

Recall

Ukrainians liable for military service had to update their accounts by July 17. After that,  they can be fined from 17 to 25.5 thousand hryvnias.

If a person liable for military service fails to pay a fine for unupdated data, the case may be referred to the state executive service, which may lead to the seizure of the debtor's property or accounts.
