Monuments to the victims of Stalinist repression and the Holodomor were dismantled in occupied Luhansk by the Russian occupation authorities, following similar actions in other occupied Ukrainian cities.
Today, in occupied Luhansk, monuments to the victims of Stalinist repressions and the victims of the Holodomor were dismantled in Memory Square, UNN reports citing Novyny Donbas.
According to the city's occupation authorities, the decision to dismantle the building "was made by members of the city council after appeals from veterans' organizations.
Earlier, similar monuments were dismantled in other cities captured by Russia, including Donetsk and Mariupol.
