The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement recommends adopting a bill that would allow prisoners to be released from serving their sentences if they are serving military service during mobilization and martial law, with certain conditions and exceptions.
The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement recommends that the parliament adopt a bill that would allow prisoners to be released from serving their sentences in case of military service. This was reported by MP Oleksandr Bakumov, UNN reports.

According to him, a person can only be released on parole for military service:
- during mobilization and martial law;
- with the consent of the convicted person;
- with the consent of the unit commander;
- in case of passing the VLC.
A person who has taken advantage of parole to participate in the defense of the state is released from serving a basic sentence in the form of restriction or imprisonment
He noted that people convicted of crimes against national security, premeditated murder of two or more people, or crimes combined with rape or sexual violence will not be eligible for parole.
Criminalized evasion from military service by persons who used parole to participate in the defense of the state is punishable by imprisonment for a term of 5 to 10 years
