A police officer was killed and another wounded when passengers opened fire on a car they had stopped for inspection near the village of Yalanets in Vinnytsia region, with two soldiers suspected of involvement.
Law enforcement officials have opened a criminal investigation into the shooting of patrol police officers in Vinnytsia region. Information about the involvement of two servicemen in the incident is currently being checked. This is reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, UNN reports.

According to preliminary data, on April 20, at about 01:40, patrol police officers stopped a car near the village of Yalanets, Bershad UTC, Haisyn district, Vinnytsia region.
During the inspection, the passengers of the car used firearms. One police officer was killed and another was injured.
The Vinnytsia Specialized Defense Prosecutor's Office of the Southern Region provides procedural guidance in criminal proceedings initiated over an attempt on the life of a law enforcement officer (Article 348 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)
At present, the crime scene has been inspected, material evidence has been seized, and urgent investigative actions are underway.

Today, on April 20, at night in the Haisyn district of Vinnytsia region, police officers stopped an unknown car for inspection. Inside the car were two men who opened fire on the police. A police officer was killed and his partner was wounded.
According to local media, the attackers were wearing military uniforms.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko has already responded to the incident. According to him, it does not matter who is wearing what clothes or condition - "there is no justification for this crime."
