Law enforcement officer in Sumy sold secret data on checkpoints for 30 thousand

In Sumy, a law enforcement officer was detained for passing on information about the location of checkpoints and passwords for travel in exchange for money. The offender managed to receive UAH 30 thousand from a local resident.
A law enforcement officer who sold data on checkpoints and passwords to pass them will be tried in Sumy, UNN reports citing a post on the SBI.

The case was sent to court.
"In February 2024, a law enforcement officer offered to help a border resident who was planning a trip to another region. In particular, he promised to provide information on the location of units, checkpoints of the Defense Forces and passwords for their unimpeded passage for a reward," the statement said.
In addition, the law enforcement officer threatened that in case of refusal, he would personally prevent the citizen from moving to the border. He managed to get UAH 30 thousand from the man for the information.
The suspect was exposed by the SBI in cooperation with the SBU and the internal security of the State Border Guard Service.
