Large-scale forest fire extinguished in Kharkiv region after 4 days

SES rescuers extinguished a 43-hectare forest fire in the Balakliya forestry district of Kharkiv region. The firefighting operation lasted more than 4 days, no wildfires were allowed to spread, and no one was injured.

In Kharkiv, emergency responders managed to extinguish a large-scale fire in Balakliyske forestry. It took more than 4 days to eliminate it. This was reported by the State Emergency Service, UNN reports.

Rescuers extinguished a 43-hectare forest fire in Kharkiv region. For more than 4 days, rescuers have been fighting the fire in Balakliya forestry. A wildfire was prevented. No one was injured

- the SES said. 

The agency adds that along with rescuers and employees of the departmental fire department of the forestry, sappers of the State Emergency Service were working at the scene: they checked the area for explosive devices to secure the routes of fire equipment.

Two days ago, on August 14, rescuers managed to localize the fire in Balakliya forestry on an area of 43 hectares. The head of the RMA claims that the forests were deliberately destroyed by the enemy.
