Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has called on Western allies to provide Ukraine with air defense systems such as Patriot to shoot down modernized air guided bombs launched by Russia at the front. This was stated by Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in an interview with Politico, UNN reports.
Details
"Give us the damn Patriot," Kuleba called.
He explained that "Ukrainian troops are losing ground" because Russia has begun to massively use modernized aerial guided bombs.
As Kuleba pointed out, these bombs are a weapon that is "impossible to escape from" if you are the target.
"You cannot drown it out. It just falls on your head and destroys everything. This is how we are losing ground, and the only way to prevent this is to shoot down the planes carrying the bombs. We need air defense systems at the front," the Foreign Minister said.
He also explained that if Ukraine had enough air defense systems, namely Patriot, Ukrainians could protect not only people's lives but also the economy from destruction.
Addendum
In addition, Kuleba believes that EU leaders need to get used to the idea that the day may come when they will have to send Western combat troops to Ukraine. If Kyiv loses, Russian President Vladimir Putin will not stop there.
