Kharkiv Metro dismantles the old name of the station - Pushkinska

The old sign of the Pushkinska station was removed in the Kharkiv subway as part of de-Russification.
An old sign with the name "Pushkinskaya" has already been removed from one of the Kharkiv metro stations. This was reported by one of the local telegram channels, UNN writes.
Details
Earlier, the Commission on Toponymy and Protection of the Historical and Cultural Environment supported the renaming of Pushkinska Street to Yaroslav the Wise Street.
During a public discussion held by First Deputy Mayor of Kharkiv Oleksandr Novak, the renaming of 367 place names was considered.
In particular:
- Aeroflotska Street should be renamed Antonova Street;
- Bakunin Street - Rich Street;
- Vasnetsov Street - Vsevolod Nestayko Street;
- Sibirska street - Poliska street;
- Krasnoyarsky lane - Yuri Voronoi lane.

In Kharkiv, 18 streets were de-Russified and an entrance was named in honor of Ukrainian military pilot Andriy Pilshchikov with the call sign "Dzhus".
