Romania's radar systems detected a small flying object that penetrated 6 km inland in the Tulcea County. The object stayed in the airspace for about 5 minutes, after which it disappeared from the radar.
Romania's radar systems detected late on Thursday a small flying object, likely a drone, breaching national airspace up to 6 km inland in the southeastern county of Tulcea, the country's Defense Ministry said, UNN reports citing Reuters.

This European Union and NATO state, which shares a 650 km border with Ukraine, has repeatedly seen fragments of Russian drones fall on its territory over the past year and a half as Moscow has attacked Ukraine's port infrastructure, the publication points out.
The ministry reported that the radar first picked up the signal at 21:04 Kyiv time, 15 km east of Kiliya Veke in Tulcea County.
The agency warned the population of the county to take cover and began procedures to raise fighter jets, but the radar lost signal at 21:09 Kyiv time.
"There is no information about the possible impact of the target on the national territory," the ministry said.
In October, radar detected several drone signals on separate days that violated Romanian airspace, without fighter jets being able to see them and without identifying the crash sites, and officials said the incidents could be examples of cyber interference, the newspaper said.
