Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, stated that a "complete ceasefire" would only make sense if it was not undermined by a naval blockade and if Israel's actions on several fronts were stopped, UNN reports with reference to CNN.

Ghalibaf, who led the Iranian side in recent negotiations with the United States, also rejected the idea that pressure would force Iran to make concessions. "They did not achieve their goals through military aggression, and they will not achieve it through intimidation," he wrote. "The only way is to recognize the rights of the Iranian nation."
