Iran rejected U.S. threats of new sanctions against its partners

After U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent threatened to impose new sanctions on countries linked to Iran, chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said that the United States was unable to economically restrict its relations with other countries, UNN reports, citing CNN.
"The Americans know that no one believes their threats. Economically, the United States cannot further restrict its relations with other countries," Ghalibaf said.
Ghalibaf, the speaker of the Iranian parliament, wrote in his post on X that "Iran's trading partners have stated — both publicly in the media and in messages sent to us — that they do not attach importance to these statements."
