Iran has not yet confirmed its participation in the meeting in Pakistan due to distrust of the United States. Donald Trump has extended the truce with Tehran indefinitely.

Iran has stated that it has not yet decided whether to join a new round of talks with the United States, UNN reports with reference to AP.
"We entered the negotiations in good faith and seriously, but the party involved in the negotiations (the United States) showed contempt and distrust," Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Bakai said on Wednesday, according to Iranian state television.

A second round of talks, expected in the Pakistani capital later this week, has not yet been confirmed. On Tuesday, US President Trump extended a truce with Iran indefinitely, leaving further steps to resume negotiations unclear.
"Iran has not yet decided whether it will participate in a new round of peace talks with the United States, scheduled for later this week," Bakai said.
