According to him, at one of the gas stations, a fire broke out as a result of the strike, which was contained. The infrastructure of the gas station was damaged.
The acting mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar, reported the enemy strike as well, noting that a residential building was affected and there was a fire.

Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration Oleh Hryhorov also reported that, according to preliminary expert conclusions, in the evening Russian troops shelled Sumy "with a long-range multiple launch rocket system using a cluster munition." "The enemy used this weapon against the civilian population, attacking a private housing area. At least 10 households were damaged. As a result of the attack, seven residents of the city were injured," Hryhorov said.
A teenager with an acute stress reaction received assistance on the spot. Four of the wounded remain in the hospital under medical supervision, he added.
He pointed out that unexploded munitions were found in the affected area. Specialists surveyed the area and neutralized the discovered explosive objects.
