Russian troops shelled the border areas of Sumy region 90 times in a day. A woman was killed, 8 civilians were injured.

During the past day, Russian troops in the Sumy region shelled border areas 90 times, killing a woman and wounding 8 residents of the region. This is reported by UNN with reference to the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

As a result of enemy strikes on the territory of the Sumy region over the day, there is one dead, and eight civilians of the region were injured. Destruction and damage to private houses, non-residential premises and civilian infrastructure objects were also recorded
It was also clarified that a 47-year-old woman, whom the occupiers wounded on July 30, died in the hospital. The Ukrainian woman lived in the Romny community.
In addition, in the Sumy community, a 31-year-old woman was injured during an enemy strike, and in the Hlukhiv community, a 53-year-old man was wounded.
In the Yampil community, a Russian drone hit a residential building, as a result of which a 57-year-old man and a 12-year-old boy were injured.
In the Berezivka community, a 28-year-old man was injured. In the Konotop community, a 55-year-old woman experienced an acute stress reaction. Two more men, aged 33 and 65, were injured in the Boromlya community when a car drove over an explosive device left by Russian troops.
In total, from the morning of August 1 to the morning of August 2, 34 settlements in 19 territorial communities of the Sumy region came under enemy fire. The largest number of shellings was recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts.
For attacks, Russian troops used mortars, artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, FPV drones, various types of unmanned aerial vehicles, and guided aerial bombs.
In the Seredyna-Buda community, a private residential building was destroyed as a result of shelling, and several other houses were damaged. In the Putyvl and Hlukhiv communities, an administrative building, civilian infrastructure objects, non-residential premises, and a car were damaged.
In the Bilopillia community, the Russians destroyed a store premises and a non-residential building. Private residential houses were damaged in the Mykolaiv rural, Yampil, and Velyka Pysarivka communities.
In the Buryn, Shostka, and Berezivka communities, the enemy damaged infrastructure objects and vehicles. In the Shalyhyne, Esman, and Znob-Novhorodske communities, residential houses destroyed as a result of earlier shelling were also recorded.
Reminder
On August 1, 234 combat engagements took place at the front. The enemy used 31 missiles and 298 KABs.
