Details

"The level of the Dnipro within Kyiv has risen to its absolute maximum since the beginning of 2024," said Serhiy Popko, head of the KCMA.

It is noted that on March 16, it was recorded at 601 cm above the "0" post, having grown by more than 60 cm in a week.

"The rise in water levels and such significant fluctuations are due to an increase in water discharges from the Kyiv reservoir due to the skipping of the spring flood. Therefore, there is an initial flooding of floodplains and low-lying riverine areas. Hydrological hazard level I (yellow)," KCMA reported on Telegram.

At the same time, as of March 16, no emergency flooding was reported in the city, and industrial facilities and residential areas are out of danger.
