A 42-year-old man, in a state of alcohol intoxication, fired five shots into the air from a starter pistol. He was notified of suspicion of hooliganism.

In Kyiv, a man opened fire in the courtyard of residential buildings, and he has been notified of suspicion, the capital's Main Directorate of the National Police reported on Tuesday, writes UNN.

A report of the shooting was received by the police from a resident of an apartment building on Kaunas Street. At the scene, police "detained a 42-year-old man and seized from him a starter pistol and cartridges."
"The offender explained his actions by saying that he decided to check the serviceability of his pistol. So, while under the influence, the man took out the weapon and fired five shots upward, thereby greatly frightening residents of nearby apartment buildings," the police stated.
The detainee has been notified of suspicion of hooliganism (Part 1 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
