A 35-year-old resident of the Khmelnytskyi region has been arrested for sexual violence against his 11-year-old stepdaughter. The man is being held in custody without the right to bail.

In the Khmelnytskyi region, law enforcement officers have notified a 35-year-old man of suspicion regarding sexual violence against his minor stepdaughter. The court ordered a preventive measure in the form of detention without the right to bail. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, according to UNN.
Details
According to the investigation, the first episode occurred in late March 2025, when the man took advantage of the fact that his wife was sleeping in another room.
The second incident, according to investigators, took place in April 2026, while the child's mother was in the hospital with her younger son.
On the same day, the 11-year-old girl told a close relative about what she had endured, after which law enforcement officers were involved in the case.
The suspect was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. He is charged with crimes stipulated by Parts 4 and 6 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
