Hospitals and pharmacies received over UAH 80 billion under the medical guarantee program

The National Health Service of Ukraine has paid over UAH 80 billion under the medical guarantee program and UAH 3.2 billion under the "Affordable Medicines" program as of June 30, 2025. The largest sums were received by hospitals in Lviv, Okhmatdyt, and Dnipropetrovsk region.

The National Health Service of Ukraine has already paid over UAH 80 billion to medical institutions and pharmacies under the medical guarantee program this year, the National Health Service of Ukraine reported, writes UNN.

“For the first half of 2025, the National Health Service of Ukraine paid over UAH 80.0 billion to providers of emergency, primary and specialized medical care under the medical guarantee program, as well as to pharmacies under the “Affordable Medicines” program (as of 30.06.2025),” the statement reads.

In terms of areas, the NSZU paid:

  • for emergency medical care - UAH 5.3 billion;
    • for primary health care - UAH 11.7 billion;
      • for the reimbursement program - UAH 3.2 billion;
        • for specialized medical care - UAH 59.8 billion.

          Medical institutions in the country that received the largest amounts of payments from the NSZU:

          1. Communal Non-Profit Enterprise “Lviv Territorial Association “Multidisciplinary Clinical Hospital of Intensive Treatment Methods and Emergency Medical Care” - UAH 989 million;
            1. National Children's Specialized Hospital “Okhmatdyt” - UAH 624 million;
              1. Communal Enterprise “Dnipropetrovsk Regional Clinical Hospital named after I.I. Mechnikov” - UAH 556.3 million;
                1. Communal Enterprise “Regional Center for Emergency Medical Aid and Disaster Medicine” of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council - UAH 519.6 million;
                  1. Communal Enterprise “Regional Center for Emergency Medical Aid and Disaster Medicine of Kyiv” - UAH 467.3 million.

                    In addition, for the first half of 2025, the NSZU paid for the provision of certain medical services to certain categories of persons who protect/protected the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine (dental prosthetics and dental care to a certain category of persons who protect/protected the independence) - UAH 271.1 million.
