Japanese airline JAL suffered a cyberattack that delayed 14 domestic flights and caused problems with international flights. The company has temporarily suspended ticket sales and is working to eliminate the consequences of the attack.

Japan Airlines (JAL) has reported that it has suffered a cyberattack that could affect flights across the country. This was reported by Kyodo News, according to UNN.

It is noted that almost 14 domestic flights were delayed as a result of the cyberattack. Some international flights were also affected.

We can confirm that we have been subjected to a cyberattack and are currently investigating the situation. There is a possibility of delays and cancelations

- said a JAL spokeswoman.

The airline said the problems began around 7:25 a.m., prompting JAL to halt ticket sales for domestic and international flights for the rest of the day. 

The airline noted that it is currently working to counter the cyberattack and determine its source, adding that the attack could have more serious consequences for its flights. The airline has managed to temporarily disable the router that is believed to have been compromised.

Investigative sources said that JAL had contacted the Metropolitan Police Department and was investigating the matter.
