The Russian occupiers carried out more powerful shelling than before, using not only aircraft but also ballistic missiles, especially in the southern regions, and intensified the use of reconnaissance drones to compensate for the lack of an air reconnaissance point.

The Russian occupiers conducted more powerful shelling last night than the previous ones. The enemy used not only aircraft missiles for the attacks. This was reported by the head of the press center of the Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine Natalia Gumenyuk during a telethon on Friday, UNN reports.

"Obviously, it was more powerful (the shelling - ed.), because in terms of quantity and quality, these were other missiles, and not just air missiles. Recently, the enemy has intensified the use of ballistic missiles, and we can see this in the southern regions in particular. At the same time, they have a serious drawback - the lack of an airborne deployed powerful reconnaissance point A-50 - and are trying to compensate for this gap in intelligence support with unmanned reconnaissance drones. We see that they have become more active in our direction, and we regularly shoot them down over the sea as well," said Humeniuk.

She noted that such a large number of aircraft used by the occupiers during the last shelling was aimed at gathering information.

She also said that there is still a threat of shelling from the Black Sea, even when no missile carriers are on alert.

"The enemy is capable of using missile launchers, even from the bay from the waters of the port where they are based. Such cases have already occurred during a full-scale invasion," said Humeniuk.
