The US Vice President stated in Greenland that the country is important for world security. According to Vance, military force is not needed to strengthen the US position.
During a visit to Greenland, US Vice President Jay Dee Vance stated that the country is an important part of the security not only of the United States, but of the entire world, emphasizing that military force will not be needed to seize the island. This is reported by Sky News, reports UNN.
The President has made it clear that he does not think military force will be necessary, but he is absolutely convinced that Greenland is an important part of the security not only of the United States, but of the entire world and, of course, of the people of Greenland
He noted that, according to Trump, the United States needs to have a stronger position in Greenland.
We need it, again, for the security of the American people, and we think what will happen when Greenlanders choose independence from Denmark through self-determination, and then we will negotiate with the people of Greenland from there. Therefore, I believe that it is too early to talk about something too far in the future. We don't think military force will ever be necessary. And since we consider the people of Greenland to be rational and good, we think we can strike a deal in the style of Donald Trump to ensure the security of this territory, as well as the United States of America
Reminder
US Vice President Vance will visit the Pituffik space base in Greenland after Trump's statements about the importance of the region for national security. Denmark criticizes US pressure and emphasizes resistance.
