Annalena Burbock and her husband Daniel Holefleisch have announced their divorce after 17 years of marriage. The couple will continue to live together in Potsdam for the sake of their two daughters, and they have no new partners.

German Foreign Minister Annalena Burbock is divorcing her husband Daniel Holefleisch after 17 years of marriage. This was reported by Bild with reference to their joint statement, UNN reports .

Some time ago, during a long process, we decided together that we were no longer a couple. To avoid possible speculation: there are no new partners. The most important thing for us is to ensure that our two daughters can grow up in peace and love. That is why we continue to live in our shared house in Potsdam

Burbock and Holefleisch met about 20 years ago while working for the Green Party.

According to Bild, Burbock pursued a career, while her husband took care of the house and children. They have two daughters, ages 9 and 13.
