In February, Gadot wrote, she was diagnosed with a blood clot after weeks of enduring "excruciating headaches that kept me bedridden until I finally had an MRI that revealed the horrible truth.
"In an instant, my family and I were confronted with how fragile life can be. It was a harsh reminder of how quickly things can change, and in the midst of a difficult year, all I wanted to do was hang on and live," she wrote. - "We rushed to the hospital, and a few hours later I had emergency surgery. My daughter Ori was born in that moment of uncertainty and fear.
Gadot went on to say that her daughter's name means "my light" and that before the surgery she told her husband that "when our daughter is born, she will be the light that will be waiting for me at the end of this tunnel.
She thanked her team of doctors who helped her with her treatment at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, saying that thanks to them she "survived it" and is now on the road to recovery.
The "Wonder Woman" star wrote that she wanted to share her story to encourage her followers to listen to their bodies and spread awareness of the importance of action.
"As we celebrate Hanukkah, the holiday of light and miracles, I reflect on a personal miracle that I have been given. My daughter Ori is a constant reminder of the resilience, hope and strength we carry within us," she wrote. - "I wish that we all find our light, experience our own miracles, and continue to protect our health and each other.
