Finland's Summa Defence and Ukraine's TAF Industries to establish joint drone production
Kyiv • UNN
TAF Industries and Summa Defence will create a joint venture for drone manufacturing. The project will allow for the scaling of UAV production at secure sites.

Ukrainian drone manufacturer TAF Industries has agreed to establish a joint venture with the Finnish group Summa Defence for drone production. This was reported by Defense Express, according to UNN.
Details
The parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding during the TAF Industries Demo Day event. The project will be implemented within the framework of the Build with Ukraine initiative, which involves scaling Ukrainian defense developments abroad.
Expansion of Production and Cooperation
This is already the third international partnership for TAF Industries in the field of joint UAV production. Finland's Summa Defence has previously collaborated with Ukrainian companies and participated in creating production projects alongside European partners.
In 2025, the company reported the delivery of the first batch of Zeus drones, produced by the Summa Drones Oyj division, to the Ukrainian Defense Forces. In 2026, it is planned to establish industrial production of solutions proven in combat conditions.
What will be produced
TAF Industries is one of the key suppliers of drones to the front lines. The company produces FPV strike drones, repeaters, interceptors, as well as fixed-wing reconnaissance drones.
It is expected that the new joint venture will allow for the scaling of production and meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine through secure production sites outside of Ukraine.
