The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed Mykhailo Fedorov as the Minister of Defense. 277 people's deputies voted for the corresponding resolution.

The Parliament voted to appoint former First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov to the post of Minister of Defense of Ukraine, writes UNN.

Mykhailo Fedorov held the position of First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation from July 17, 2025, to January 13, 2026.
Before that, from August 29, 2019, he was Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. In 2019, he was elected a people's deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the IX convocation.
