Entrepreneur and ex-director of the State Enterprise of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine exposed for bribes of more than half a million dollars

An entrepreneur and a former director of a state-owned enterprise subordinated to the Ministry of Defense were found to have received a USD 600,000 bribe to influence the transfer of land rights for housing construction.
Law enforcement officers caught an entrepreneur and the former director of a state-owned enterprise of the Ministry of Defense on a $600,000 bribe. This was reported by UNN with reference to the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.
Details
According to the investigation, the head of a private enterprise and his accomplice extorted money from a representative of the LLC for transferring the right to develop a land plot to the Ministry of Defense.
They were supposed to influence the director of a state-owned enterprise in charge of defense land to enter into a trilateral contract for the construction of a residential complex. The illegal benefit amounted to USD 600 thousand
The criminals were detained while receiving USD 320 thousand in cash and contracts of ownership of residential real estate worth USD 280 thousand.
It is noted that the issue of notifying persons of suspicion of extortion and receipt of undue advantage, as well as abuse of influence (part 2 of article 28 h 4 of article 368, part 2 of article 28 h 3 of article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) is currently being resolved.
