Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba visited Hong Kong. He called on local authorities to take measures to prevent Russia from using Hong Kong to circumvent sanctions imposed for its aggression against Ukraine.
Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba visited Hong Kong and called to close routes to circumvent restrictive measures for Russia, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday, UNN reports.

Kuleba reportedly visited the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on Thursday, July 25, as part of his visit to China. The Foreign Minister met with Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee.
The parties discussed the creation of new opportunities for trade and investment between Ukraine and Hong Kong in the context of the recovery of our country.
Dmytro Kuleba also called on the Hong Kong Administration to take measures to prevent Russia and Russian companies from using Hong Kong to circumvent the restrictive measures imposed for Russian aggression against Ukraine
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister emphasized that "these restrictive measures are necessary to weaken Russia's potential to wage war and kill people in Ukraine." The Minister emphasized that "Russian machinations should not spoil Hong Kong's reputation as a highly developed liberal economy based on unwavering respect for the rule of law."
Kuleba also discussed the protection of the rights of Ukrainian citizens in Hong Kong.
As part of the visit, the Minister held a separate meeting with Hong Kong business representatives to discuss prospects for cooperation with Ukrainian companies and investments, particularly in the context of Ukraine's recovery and reconstruction.
