Fatal traffic accident in Kyiv: 12-year-old boy among the dead, investigation launched

The Prosecutor General's Office stated that an investigation has been launched into the fatal traffic accident in Kyiv, which killed four people, including a 12-year-old boy, UNN reports.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, it is currently known that the 49-year-old driver of a Mercedes-Benz, a resident of the Kherson region, lost control of the vehicle at high speed and crashed into an underpass where people were present.
Two men, a woman, and a 12-year-old boy died at the scene. Three other people were injured. The driver was extricated from the car by rescuers and is currently in the hospital
It has been preliminarily established that the driver had been repeatedly held administratively liable for speeding. He has also been involved in four traffic accidents, two of which occurred this year.
Under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the fatal accident on Chokolivskyi Boulevard under Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine
