Fiala said on Wednesday evening on the TV channel that the Czech contribution would amount to more than a hundred million crowns, which is equivalent to tens of millions of euros.

"This is roughly in line with the share that a country of our size and prosperity should contribute," Fiala said.

The Czechs, with the help of a group of government officials and private companies, have requested at least 800,000 large-caliber ammunition from countries around the world, with the first deliveries to Ukraine expected by June. However, Czech officials have stated that this figure is not final and that more ammunition could be purchased around the world if additional funds are made available.
