Ukrainian Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk suggests that Russia may not have used Kalibr missiles during recent massive strikes due to loading problems after being cut off from the necessary equipment in occupied Crimea.

Ukrainian Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk sees at least a problem with loading Kalibr missiles onto missile carriers in the conditions of being cut off from the necessary equipment in the temporarily occupied Crimea. He said this during a telethon on Monday, commenting on why the enemy did not use Kalibr missiles during the latest massive strikes, UNN reports.

We can conclude from the picture we see that there has been no use of the Kalibr for many months now, with the only confirmed exception being that after the destruction of the Caesar Kunikov, they launched four missiles (Kalibr - ed.). The rest of the time, they do not use sea-based missile launchers. There may be several reasons for this. One of them is the problems with the equipment for loading these missiles, which remains in Crimea. And so these ships are actually cut off from this loading system, because they are not based in Crimea now. Especially the missile launchers, except for one unit - the Cyclone ship, which is used as an air defense cover ship

- Pletenchuk said.

In general, Pletenchuk expressed surprise, as delivering missiles to Novorossiysk is not such a problem, and the only problem is with loading, and "why a country that calls itself 'sovereign' has not yet found the appropriate size cranes" is somewhat puzzling.

"Of course, we cannot expect this to last forever - the enemy is trying to solve this problem. But, most likely, in addition to the problem with loading, they have some other problems, perhaps with production," the Navy spokesman said.
