According to the Chinese Defense Ministry, "the two sides exchanged views on China-NATO defense issues, the international and regional situation, and other issues of mutual interest.
NATO said that "the meeting discussed the following topics: global and regional security, with a focus on Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine; maritime security; and issues of common concern.
Both sides agreed on the "value of continued engagement," the Alliance added.
This is the eighth annual military staff dialogue between Beijing and NATO.

Earlier, NATO stated that although China is not an "adversary," it does not share the values of the Alliance.
