The Cabinet of Ministers approves a draft law on the siting, design and construction of power units 3 and 4 of the Khmelnytsky Nuclear Power Plant.
The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a bill that provides for a decision on the location, design and construction of power units 3 and 4 of the Khmelnytsky Nuclear Power Plant. This was reported by the government's representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, UNN reports.

The draft law "On the Siting, Design and Construction of Units 3 and 4 of the Khmelnytsky Nuclear Power Plant" has been approved. The draft law provides for the adoption of a decision in accordance with the procedure established by law on the siting, design and construction of power units No. 3 and No. 4 of the Khmelnytsky Nuclear Power Plant's separate subdivision
It is noted that the draft law provides for the location of Khmelnytsky NPP units 3 and 4, as well as determines the number of reactors, their type and general characteristics.
It also proposes to define the purpose of power units for industrial production of electricity and heat, general requirements for the design and construction of power units, and the rate of the fee for socio-economic compensation of the risk of the population living in the NPP observation zone.

The Khmelnytsky NPP power unit reached maximum capacity after an early restoration repair, which was extremely important given the constant attacks on Ukraine's power grid.
