Budanov: there have been attempts to kill Putin, but so far they have failed

The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, said that there had been unsuccessful attempts to assassinate Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The head of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, said that attempts to kill Putin were, unfortunately, unsuccessful. The head of the Defence Intelligence said this in an interview with NV, UNN reports.
"There have been attempts to kill Putin, but as you can see, they have also failed so far," Budanov says.
When asked whether Vladimir Putin remains a figure of compromise within his circle, Budanov replied that "it's not about compromise anymore.
He emphasized that the image of Putin as an "arbitrator who suits everyone" is not true. To emphasize the historical depth of this conclusion, Budanov recalled the stories of his grandmother, who witnessed the death of Joseph Stalin.
"She said that people then felt that their whole world had collapsed, they didn't know how to live. Putin has been in power for more than 20 years, so it will be a very similar feeling, and now Russians have a fear of losing him because he is the guarantor of their life stability," the DIU chief added.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is in isolationand is trying to divide the world to get out of it. As long as Ukraine is standing, the world has a chance to avoid a global war.
