Among the victims was an entire family: Zelenskyy reacted to the Russian attack on the bus

The Russian attack on a bus in the Sumy region claimed the lives of 9 people, including an entire family, and the Russians could not have failed to understand what they were hitting. We need to put pressure on Russia to stop the killings – without stronger sanctions, Russia will not seek real diplomacy. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, reacting to the enemy strike, writes UNN.

Details

"There are seven wounded in hospitals now after a Russian drone strike on a regular minibus. People have burns, fractures, contusions. Everyone is receiving the necessary assistance. Unfortunately, there are dead – nine people. All details are being checked. According to preliminary information, the Russians killed a family: a father, mother and daughter died in the attack. My condolences to family and friends. All the dead are civilians. And the Russians could not have failed to understand what vehicle they were attacking. It was a deliberate murder of civilians," Zelenskyy wrote.

The President stressed that "yesterday, as on any day of this war, there was an opportunity to cease fire." "Ukraine has long been proposing this – a complete and unconditional ceasefire in order to save lives. Russia is only keeping the opportunity to kill further," he noted.

We need to put pressure on Russia to stop the killings. Without stronger sanctions, without stronger pressure on Russia, they will not seek real diplomacy there. Yesterday in Istanbul, everyone saw a weak and unprepared Russian delegation without significant powers. This must change. Real steps are needed to end the war. We are waiting for strong sanctions against Russia from the US, Europe and all our partners. Diplomacy must work. I thank everyone in the world who really helps – not with words, but with strength. We need peace," Zelenskyy said.
