The head of the Sumy RMA reported that 3,800 people, including 175 children, have been evacuated from the dangerous areas of the region since August 6. In total, 19800 people, including 2500 children, have been evacuated since the beginning of the evacuation.

Since August 6, about 3,800 people, including 175 children, have been evacuated from the dangerous areas of Sumy region. This was announced on the air of a telethon on Monday by the head of the Sumy RMA Volodymyr Artyukh, UNN reports.

"We have several options and ways to evacuate. A year ago, realizing the importance of protecting the population, we announced an evacuation of 115 settlements. Today it is in effect. We talked about compulsory and forced evacuation. The forced evacuation concerns two communities: Seredyna-Budska in Shostka district and Velykopysarivska in Okhtyrka district. In total, 19,800 people have been evacuated during this period, including 2,500 children. The evacuations announced on August 6 include 23 settlements, and about 3,800 people have been evacuated so far, including 175 children," said Artyukh.

Artyukh stated that from 40 to 50 KABs per day are used by Russian troops on the border communities of Sumy region.
