Over the past day, 243 combat engagements occurred on the front line. The enemy launched one missile and 75 airstrikes, using 226 guided aerial bombs.
243 battles occurred on the front over the past day, a quarter of which took place in two directions — Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in its morning briefing on August 1, showing a map of hostilities, writes UNN.

Yesterday, the enemy launched one missile strike, using two missiles, carried out 75 airstrikes, dropping 226 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it used 10,172 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,295 shellings of populated areas and positions of our troops, including 30 from multiple launch rocket systems.
Over the past day, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces struck two UAV control points, 15 areas of personnel concentration, one warehouse, and another important facility of the Russian invaders.
Situation by directions
In the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, one combat engagement with the enemy occurred over the past day; the aggressor carried out two airstrikes, dropping five aerial bombs, and conducted 62 shellings of our troops' positions and populated areas, including two from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the South-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our units 17 times in the areas of the settlements of Starytsia, Zakhidne, Dvorichanske, and towards the settlements of Lyman, Izbystske, Ustynivka, Kolodiazhne, Radkivka, and Khatnie.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attempted to penetrate our defense ten times, attacking towards the settlements of Lyman, Ozerne, and in the areas of the settlements of Novoselivka and Zarichne.
In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy stormed 19 times in the areas of the settlements of Zakitne, Kryva Luka, Riznykivka, and towards Pyskunivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russian invaders carried out three attacks in the area of Minkivka and towards Tykhonivka.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy conducted 26 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Rusyn Yar, Sofiivka, and towards Novopavlivka and Dovha Balka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 37 assault actions by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Dorozhnie, Udachne, Novooleksandrivka, and towards the settlements of Toretske, Kucheriv Yar, Vilne, Nove Shakhove, Serhiivka, Bilytske, Shevchenko, Novopidhorodne, Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy carried out one attack towards Oleksandrohrad.
In the Huliaipole direction, the occupiers conducted 12 attacks towards the settlements of Vozdvyzhivka, Kosivtseve, Tsvitkove, Staroukrainka, Novoselivka.
In the Orikhiv direction, our defenders stopped four attempts by the enemy to advance in the areas of the settlements of Stepove, Mali Shcherbaky, and towards Pavlivka.
In the Dnipro direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions over the past day.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
