The US imposes new sanctions on the regime in Belarus

The United States Department of the Treasury has added 10 individuals and 12 legal entities to the sanctions list for Belarus. This is stated in a written statement issued by the US Treasury Department, UNN reports.

Details

The blacklist includes citizens of Belarus, Lebanon, Syria, Slovakia, and Sweden. In addition, organizations from Cyprus, Belarus, Iraq, China, Slovakia, and Turkey were also affected by the restrictions.

Inclusion on the sanctions list entails the freezing of assets in the United States and a ban on U.S. citizens and companies doing business with the individuals involved.
